- Personal Data: We may collect your name, email address, phone number, and password (securely hashed) upon registration.
- Financial Data: Transactions, Wallet History, and Cable/Airtime utility history. Our payment processor (Paystack) handles direct financial interactions securely.
- Device & Biometric Data: You may enable FaceID / TouchID on our mobile application via Expo Local Authentication. We do not store your biometric prints on our servers; they are resolved strictly locally on your device.
- Contacts Access (Expo Contacts): To ease the process of sending airtime or data to family and friends, you can grant the app permission to view your device's contacts. This data is kept on your device and never uploaded to or shared with our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information allows us to authenticate you, keep your funds secure, and provide tailored services such as:
- Executing wallet top-ups, airtime purchases, and automated utility bill payments.
- Generating dedicated Virtual Accounts (via Paystack) to uniquely identify and receive your deposits.
- Sending critical push notifications regarding your transaction status or security updates through Expo SDK.
- Addressing and diagnosing customer support inquiries promptly.
3. Content Moderation & Streaming
In keeping with strict mobile app marketplace policies (including the Apple App Store and Google Play), BBossPay enforcing zero tolerance for objectionable content. Regarding our Live Streaming and User-Generated Content features:
- Copyright Infringement: Any unauthorized broadcast of copyrighted properties is strictly prohibited.
- Objectionable Material: Hate speech, harassment, explicit/NSFW streams, and abuse are uniformly banned.
- Moderation & Reporting: We actively moderate live segments and provide swift in-app reporting tools. Flagged content is removed within 24 hours, and offending user accounts are permanently disabled.
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share essential data strictly with verified partners to facilitate your transactions:
- Paystack: For secure processing of payments and assigning your dedicated virtual account numbers.
- Firebase Authentication: To safely authenticate and verify user sessions or manage password resets.
- Resend: Used solely to issue secure One-Time Passcodes (OTP) and transactional alert emails to your registered inbox.
5. Data Security
We prioritize your security utilizing industry-standard protective measures, including HTTPS/TLS encryption across our platforms and secure server-side hashing (Bcrypt) for passwords.
Despite these defenses, no internet-based transmission is flawlessly secure. You bear a crucial role in safeguarding your account by maintaining a robust, unique password and utilizing available 2FA mechanisms, such as enabling Local Device App Locks (Biometrics).
6. User Rights & Data Deletion
Under comprehensive data protection principles, you possess absolute authority over your account profile details.
- You may update or correct inaccuracies in your data directly within the BBossPay mobile app or dashboard.
- You may initiate total account deletion. Doing so eradicates your application metrics, authentication data, and disassociates linked credentials completely. Note that financial ledgers may be preserved temporarily exclusively to comply with regional anti-money-laundering (AML) audit requirements.
